Since CBD oil and hempseed oil are in the same cannabis family, they’re often incorrectly being marketed as the same thing – Read your labels, do your research, get what you are wanting to buy! A product may contain hempseed oil to, put on a label with marijuana leaves, highlight the word cannabis, and most consumers think they are buying a CBD product that actually contains no CBD oil at all.

CBD oil and hemp seed oil come from different parts of the cannabis plant. CBD oil uses the whole plant, while hemp oil comes from its seeds. CBD oil is made from a variety of parts of the mature hemp plant including its stalks and flowers. Different portions of the plant yield different oils.

Products on the market may be listed as containing hemp oil or CBD oil. These terms are often used interchangeably or without detail or clear description, often leading one who has not done their research to think they are getting the CBD oil benefit in a product that really only contains hemp seed oil – these are different products that are used and consumed in their own unique way. Hemp seed oil promotes health and well-being by supplying a wide range of nutritional benefits. This oil is made from hemp seeds rather than being extracted from the plant itself. Hemp seed oil is always extracted from hemp plants but can contain no CBD/THC.
