Judy Benz Duncan, OT, is an Occupational Therapist, Mentor, Independent Certified Accessible Travel Planner and Travel Agent.

With 45 years of practice, and still counting, she has worked with clients from infants to adults in numerous settings including EI, pre-school to grade school, home health, developmental training centers, out-patient, ALF/SNF/rehab units, and sensory integration clinics.

As she is nearing retirement, her career took on a new direction last year when she took her OT skills and experience and applied them to become a travel agent that is also a certified accessible travel planner - retirement with a purpose where I can still use my OT skills!

Judy attended the University of Florida, University of Kansas, and the University of Tennessee. She received a degree in OT with a Minor in Psychology. She received NYS approval as a Supplemental Evaluator for OT with early intervention and pre-school students.

Recently she completed a course with exam, to become an ATP (Accessible Travel Planner), and continues to use her OT skills on this new career endeavor working with those with mobility, sensory, medical and cognitive challenges to experience the joy of travel for the first time, or once again.

In addition to completion and publishing of her book “The Big Alphabet Book of Critter Tales,” she has also published dozens of clinically based OT sensory print, kindle, and e-books, and a Fantasy/Action novel. She has written hundreds of bi-weekly professional blogs for a orthopedic surgeon group, a psychiatrist, and an attorney at law, and owns her own website www.TheraPlay4Kids.com where you can find global networking and 100's of blogs & articles. Add on my hobby of photography for added life fun and sharing of adventures (which does connect to my love of travel!) You can share in my adventures as I have over 800 photo's on line at Fine Arts America.

As a published author, Judy has also developed the foundation for designing therapeutic activities and tasks using interactive play and creative imagination to engage the children at a level they could easily relate to while working toward their goals. As an Accessible Travel Planner she assists those with mobility, medical, and sensory challenges to experience the joy of travel. OT can work in so many areas of need!
