OT Developed “Travel Plans Workbook” for Addressing Executive Function, Organization, Decision-Making, and Written Expression

Lindsay Goodnight, OT, has shared an activity she developed to address executive function with her OT students - she is sharing with full credit to her.

Lindsay created a pretend vacation planning activity for her older OT students, and it turned out to be a really fun multi-step project that also works great for homeschool families or just curious kids.

This activity targets:

  • Destination research

  • Budgeting

  • Persuasive writing

  • Packing list + travel journal

Perfect for working on executive functioning, organization, decision-making, and written expression—with real-life purpose behind it.

As both an OT and a travel planner (specializing in accessible travel), Lindsay love’s it when she can combine the two worlds. This one felt extra close to her heart and she wanted to share.
